We're happy with this purchase

I want to be a bit detailed because this play kitchen was an investment for us, and I hope our experience will be informative to others. We purchased this for our 20-month old daughter. She's been loving the kitchen so far. It's good quality. Many of the reviews online mention how difficult it is to put together. For the most part, we found assembly pretty straightforward. It does take quite a while to assemble it without a power drill (I believe we spent a few hours on assembly with two people working on it). The parts were labeled (I believe this is a recent change as I've seen that complaint in other reviews), however, the images could be more clear on how to orient certain pieces during assembly. We did have an issue with one of the cupboard doors but that part was promptly replaced by the manufacturer. The storage drawers and shelves is a separate unit from the play kitchen portion, which I did not realize before purchasing. We have our play kitchen on carpeted floor and the storage unit tilts away from the play kitchen portion a bit. It's not a huge deal, but it is annoying and we're going to try and bolt the two together. Both pieces are quite heavy and need to be anchored to prevent tipping. My daughter has opened all the drawers at once and the unit tipped toward her. It did not fall on her but everything on the counter fell off on and around her. We do LOVE all the storage for play food, cooking implements, eating utensils, plates, cups, etc. My main complaint is actually that the accessories are very small. The cooking utensils, cups, and frying pan are tiny. They're working ok so far but our daughter is under two. We expect that she'll be playing with this for the next 5+ years so I am concerned about their usability in the future. The frying pan is so small that it only fits one-half of a piece of play food (we have the Plan Toys play foods). She gets frustrated trying to stir play food in the pan or put anything in the oven on the pan because it falls right out. We're planning to purchase the Plan Toys pots and pans and hope that they're big enough to work for play cooking while still being small enough to fit on the small burners. The coffee pot barely fits on the burners. In the meantime, we've given her a small mixing bowl from our own kitchen to use. She does love the salt and pepper shakers that rattle when shaken, the oven knobs that click when turned, and that she has her own pot holder. Overall, we are happy with our purchase. Of the play kitchens from non-toxic brands currently available, we would absolutely choose this particular play kitchen again. It's been worth the cost to us so far and we expect to be playing with this kitchen for many years to come.
