Kite Paper Diya Craft for Diwali

Today on the blog our sweet friend Mahima, @thetoysareforme, teaches us how to make our own kite paper Diya to celebrate Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights.

“Diwali, or Dipawali, is India’s biggest and most important holiday of the year." It is also an official holiday in many other countries including Nepal, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. "The festival gets its name from the row (avali) of clay lamps (deepa) that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness.- Learn more from National Geographic here.
