The leaves are falling outside and the world is becoming brilliant hues of orange, red and yellow. Follow along with this sweet craft to bring the beauty of fall to your windows and your home.
Gather Your Supplies:
These are the tools we used to create our Kite Paper Maple Leaf:
- Waldorf Kite Paper
- Glue
- Scissors
Create your Kite Paper Maple Leaf:
Step 1:
Start with a square of kite paper. For smaller stars (shown here), cut your kite paper square into fourths.
Step 2:
Fold your kite paper in half diagonally.
Step 3:
Open after folding in half, and fold the two corners to the center.
Step 4:
Fold the top triangle down and crease down.
Step 5:
Open the folds and crease down the top triangle on the inside.
Step 6:
Close outside folds on top of the triangle.
Step 7:
Fold top corner down to middle line as shown.
Step 8:
Repeat on the other side.
Step 9:
Open one full side.
Step 10:
Crease down the top part, leaving the rest open.
Step 11:
Fold the paper so that it lays flat as show below.
Step 12:
Repeat on the other side.
Step 13:
Fold down the flaps of the fold as shown below. Glue and let dry.
Step 14:
Do this a total of 5 times.
Step 15:
Begin glueing your maple leaf together. Line the edge of one section to the middle line of another.
Step 16:
Once every piece is added, your leaf will look like this.
Step 17:
Cut a small strip of kite paper and glue to the back to complete your leaf.
Step 18:
Place on your window and enjoy!
