Today on the blog craft a love-filled Waldorf-inspired kite paper heart to decorate your windows for Valentine's Day! This simple craft is perfect for a cozy afternoon together.
Gather Your Supplies:
These are the tools we used to create our Heart Kite Paper Window Transparency:
- Kite paper
- Glue stick
- Scissors (optional)
- Tape (optional)
Create your Heart Kite Paper Window Transparency:
Step 1:
Choose the colors you would like your hearts to be (you need two sheets per heart). You can cut the kite paper sheets into 4 squares for smaller hearts.
Step 2:
Fold your paper in half diagonally, crease down.
Step 3:
Open and press to smooth.
Step 4:
Fold diagonally on the other side, crease down. Open and smooth.
Step 5:
Fold one corner to the center.
Step 6:
Fold the opposite corner to the center.
Step 7:
Fold one edge to the center line and repeat on the opposite side to get the following fold.
Step 8:
Fold the top triangle down and lightly press to make a mark where your halfway mark is.
Step 9:
Fold the top down to that halfway mark.
Step 10:
Make two of these.
Step 11:
Glue down the flaps.
Step 12:
Glue together your two pieces to create your heart.
Step 13:
Hang on your windows with a little bit of tape.
