Lacing Cheese

This hardwood lacing toy has been carved the shape of a piece of Swiss cheese. The head of the needle is painted with the face of a little mouse who is ready to to tunnel in and out of the holes.

This toy is irresistible fun for children ages 3 and up. (Leave it out and many grown-ups will pick it up and start stitching, too!). But while children are having fun stitching, they are also developing fine motor skills. Much research has been done in recent years that links the development of fine motor skills of the hand directly to the development of the brain.

The block is made in Europe by Kinderkram of quality hardwood and stained with a nontoxic, water-based dye. The string is nylon. Measures 7" long and 2.25" thick.
