Child's Straw Broom

Perhaps the most important activity in a Waldorf kindergarten classroom is the real work done on a daily basis, for a real purpose. My class of 3- to 6-year-olds would help everyday with our meal preparation and clean-up afterwards. After lunch, the children would help clear the table, wash the dishes and sweep the floor. And what capable helpers they were!

This beautiful child-size broom imported from Germany, may look like a toy, but is actually a well-constructed real tool, sized for a child's use.
