With so much recent publicity regarding toy safety, and the implementation of the new stringent testing laws in the U.S. by the Consumer Protection Agency, it is natural that parents are concerned about the safety of the products they purchase for their children. We share your concerns.

Bella Luna Toys was founded in 2002 with the mission of providing safe toys for children made of natural and organic materials such as wood, silk, cotton and wool, as an alternative to mass-produced, commercial plastic toys. While most of our toys are produced in the U.S. or Europe, some are produced in Latin America, or Asian countries, including China. Many of our foreign-made toys are produced by Fair Trade companies, committed to paying their workers a living wage.

All our toys, whether produced here in the U.S. or imported, meet the strictest safety standards. Everything offered for sale at Bella Luna Toys is guaranteed to be free of lead, non-toxic, and to have passed strict European and American safety tests. Some products, like the many unfinished wooden toys we offer, are exempt from testing requirements.
